The news of the day: The Moroccan delegation expelled from WFDY

members of the Arab delegation participating in the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students held on Monday in Pretoria (South Africa), a meeting with members of the Federation World Democratic Youth (WFDY) to reconsider the decision on Sunday evening, and on the expulsion of the Moroccan delegation to the festival.

This decision was taken against the Moroccan delegation in a deliberate result of a clash between members of delegations English separatists and the Polisario and the Moroccan delegation, the victim repeatedly, acts of provocation and harassment in this world festival of youth and students.

In conducting a workshop on the plan of autonomy for the southern provinces, presented as a realistic option for the peaceful settlement of the Sahara issue, members of delegations of Spain and Polisario waved a banner which equates Morocco to Israel.

Delegates Moroccans had to intervene decisively to wrest the banner chanting slogans reaffirming the commitment of all Moroccans to the Moroccan Sahara and giving evidence of the unanimity of all Moroccans to defend, body and soul, the national cause.

Four of the Moroccan delegates (three women and one man) have vanished as a result of scuffles and skirmishes occurred between the delegation and separatists supported by the English delegation.
