60% of late trains at peak hours

In any case the assertion of the CFDT Railway, which conducted its own investigation on the punctuality of trains SNCF.

Only one train in three (33.66%) arrives on time at peak hours, according to a survey conducted on some railway lines by the CFDT, which call for "more flexibility" in the organization SNCF to fight against these delays.

While SNCF claimed figures of regularity up to 90%, the CFDT has conducted its own investigation. One hundred railroad noted, January 24 to February 17, the regularity of some twenty lines throughout the territory.

The study identified 69% of trains were delayed or less than five minutes and 31% delayed more than five minutes. Small delays (five minutes maximum) affect 62.80% of Transiliens, 74.84% of ESTs, and 68.97% of the TGV.

Nearly a third of delays (30.65%) are attributable to the enterprise: the study suggests such factors as internal problems on the train or engine, the late establishment of oars or a lack of staff.

Among the external causes of delays, the railroad link congestion in the lanes and stations in a cul de sac, the carrying out of work, problems or signs, to a lesser extent, malicious acts such as theft of cable, the weather and suicide.

The other lesson of this study is that nearly one train in two (47.10%) does not ensure the quality of service originally planned, a quarter due to a lack of cars forecast. So, many a traveler in four (27.14%) completed its journey up and 10% missed their correspondence.

CFDT recommends "more flexibility" in the organization of the company by returning at a certain versatility of train drivers.

The union also demanded an overhaul of the rail network, securing facilities and creating infrastructure to avoid traffic congestion.
